We're in the process of switching to a 501(c)(3) non-profit!

We are thrilled to announce that...

Over the past several years, Big Britches Productions has grown beyond what we ever expected; from a small for-profit company into a true community theater supported by volunteers, artists, audiences, and neighbors who care deeply about this work.

We're becoming a nonprofit.

In April, our newly approved 501(c)(3), Big Britches Productions NP, officially launches. Our final for-profit production, Four Old Broads, closes in March.

Here's what you need to know:

The for-profit and nonprofit are separate legal entities. The for-profit will remain active only to pay down its remaining obligations, none of which transfer to the nonprofit. Your nonprofit donations will never cover for-profit expenses. This separation ensures Big Britches Productions NP starts with a clean slate and full accountability.

Our first nonprofit production is The Other Place by Sharr White, opening in May; A psychological mystery where reality blurs, truths conflict, and certainty itself unravels. It's exactly the kind of challenging, moving, deeply human theater we believe the Columbia River Gorge deserves.

We need to raise $17,000 by May 1st to produce this show and launch our nonprofit season on solid footing. We need at least $2,000 as soon as possible.

Four Old Broads remains a for-profit show, and its ticket sales support only the for-profit company. Starting in April, all tickets and Flex Passes sold belong to the nonprofit. ( But you can donate to the non-profit right now!)

Patrons with existing six-show Flex Passes purchased from the for-profit will have them honored in full, with funds properly transferred between entities to match revenue to the shows it supports.

Tickets for Four Old Broads are on sale now. Supporting that show helps us close out three years of work with as clean a slate as possible. Any surplus beyond what's needed to settle obligations will be donated to Big Britches Productions NP.

We know this is a lot of detail for a fundraising ask, but we also know that transparency matters.

You deserve to know exactly where your money goes.

If you're able to contribute toward our $17,000 goal, you'd be helping our nonprofit take its first real step forward.

This switch to non-profit status will allow us to continue to move forward in creating a space for the Arts in this community for years to come. We're thrilled to be making this change!

Thank you for being part of this story. Whether through a donation, a Flex Pass, or simply showing up at the theater, you're keeping live, local, community-driven theater alive in this region.
