About US

Big Britches Productions is community theater in the truest sense, born in the Columbia River Gorge in 2018 and built by the people who live here. Plays, musicals, aerial silks showcases, school collaborations, if it gets people together and tells a story worth telling, we're in.

We prioritize real storytelling, local talent, and genuine collaboration with artists, businesses, and our audience. Everyone has a role here, whether you're onstage, running lights, volunteering at the door, or just showing up and cheering us on. You all matter. We also bring in outside talent for comedy shows and music performances, because great talent doesn't always have to come from our own backyard, even if most of it does.

The historic Bingen Theater is our home, and like any good home, it's got a little character. It's an old building with its share of quirks, and we work away at improvements as we're able. But people walk in and feel something, a warmth that's hard to explain and easy to love. That energy didn't come from a renovation budget. It comes from years of community, creativity, and care soaked into the walls.

Come see a show. Get involved. There's always room for more at Big Britches.

As of April 2026, Big Britches Productions is officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This is a reflection of how seriously we take our role in this community, and a commitment to being here for the long haul. It also means that when you support us financially, it's tax-deductible. So you can feel good about backing the arts in the Gorge and get a little something back at tax time. Not a bad deal.
